RuleSpace to power Overture's filtered search engine service

RuleSpace and Overture announce that Overture will use RuleSpace's Online Lookup Service to power FAST's Filtered Search Service

Portland, Ore. & Pasadena, Calif. - January 20th, 2003 - RuleSpace, LLC, and Overture (formerly Fast Search and Transfer) have announced that Overture's Filtered Search Service has launched, and is powered by RuleSpace’s Online Lookup Service, (OLS). Incorporation of the RuleSpace OLS into this service will enable Overture to access over 50 million accurately categorized web sites in 14 languages to aid Overture in detecting and eliminating pornography and other inappropriate material from its paid placement and in search results. RuleSpace's support in 14 languages, including of all major Scandinavian languages, will enable Overture to detect inappropriate content in languages that are unsupported by any other Parental Controls product.
